In May 2024, Native American YesWeCan Foundation will undertake its annual fundraising drive. While fundraising is a constant on-going initiative, each year we conduct a more targeted fundraising drive with a certain goal to accomplish a specific objective. In 2024, our goal is $100,000.00 to expand our “assisted on-line classes” to provide Tribal residents with the tools to start and operate an on-line e-commerce business where the unique and special goods and services of Native owned businesses can be made available to people around the world. Native Americans have so much to offer and their history and culture is of great interest. We aim to empower Native Americans to achieve their dreams through digital learning initiatives, such taking advantage of Native e-commerce business opportunities.
Help us achieve our 2024 goals with a donation. We promise to keep you informed of our progress and provide you with first-hand knowledge and access to our Foundation developed enterprises.

As we embark on our fundraising initiative for 2024, I look back at our accomplishments with much pride in the people who have worked tirelessly on our digital literacy initiatives with devotion to our mission. In 2016, the Native American YesWeCan Foundation was established to assist residents of Tribal lands with access to essential information and services, including digital literacy services. The Foundation built the first-of-its-kind Internet Library and Technology Center on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation where residents obtain free access to the Internet, free use of computers, and digital literacy training. We have 12 computer workstations with Internet connectivity and software programs to perform most tasks. We also established a video conferencing system for Tribal, business, education, and social gatherings. Our plan for 2024 and beyond is to:
1. Pine Ridge Internet Library – update and/or replace the 10 desktop computers and the 2 Apple MacBook computers used by Tribal residents for Internet access, computer, educational, business, and social media.
2. Digital Literacy Training Facility -- establish additional digital literacy programs and educational initiatives for Tribal residents to: (i) further education, including obtaining a GED; (ii) obtain knowledge and certificates of proficiency in areas such as use of computers and computer programs, like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and accessing the Internet and searching for information and services; and
3. Tele-Medicine, Distant Learning, and Other Remote Access Initiatives, Along Some Social Services – work with Tribal and other organizations providing services to residents of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and other Tribal communities.
